Dave Jennings(grimsby) peg 10 on the Canal Lake,124.12lbs all caught on the pole at 6 meters, using chopped worm & caster.

Bream tend to be showing in good numbers lately with weights of 50lb to 70lb nets not uncommon!
Roadside pegs upto peg 20 seem to be more consistent with maggot,worm,corn and caster and grounbait feeder being the favoured method
Carp well into double figures showing all over the lake with a common weighing 23lb and a mirror weighing 21lb 10oz coming to the scales in a recent club match!
Method feeder with 6 maggots on a 2-3 inch hooklengh being a really effective method for big weights of carp with 15-20 fish a session being reported.
Fish do tend to follow the wind and also feed in the margins later in the day with big catches of tench and carp on meat or pellet,plenty of offerings need to be put in to keep them intrested.
If a fish a chuck is what your after,maggot,worm or caster is a good option.
Glen Collins of Hull fished peg 10, fishing maggot and waggler at 20yds feeding pellet had a quality mixed bag of over 120lbs of quality roach,rudd,skimmers,bream,tench and the bonus carp, later in the day pole at 7 mtrs with pellet or paste produced a better stamp of fish with some big tench and carp down the inside.
The bund (42 - 46) has produced lately with all methods getting results.

This place is fishing its head off with match weights being won with 100+ not uncommon,with back up weights 60,70,80lb needed to frame!

8/06/08, Dave Jennings(grimsby), peg 10, with 124.12lbs, fishing pole at 6 meters using chopped worm & caster.
Peg 18 produced over 200lb,fishing feeder far bank with meaty fish chunks,(available in our tackle shop) with his mate not far behind fishing the same method! A club from sheffield recently fished a midweek match with peg 1 winning with 97lb fishing pole worm and caster on the inside and 11mtrs to his right, all 20 anglers weighed despite horrendous conditions all day.
All methods seem to be producing a good days fishing for most anglers.

All pegs will produce on the inside later in the day,cat food,meat,corn,pellet,and caster all having results.
Pegs 1 and 2 with method feeder has been working well but you must get tight upto the island for more fish.1
pegs 19 tight to the lillies and peg 20 to the island on long pole will also score well,remember to step up your gear for these pegs.
